You can permanently delete your Squabble Inn account at any time. Deletion is complete and can't be undone.
Delete in the app
Open Settings
From the main tab bar, tap Settings.
Tap Delete Account
Scroll to the Account section at the bottom and tap Delete Account.
Confirm
Tap Continue, then Delete Forever. On iPhone you'll type DELETE to confirm, and if you signed up with Apple, Apple asks you to sign in once more so we can disconnect Squabble Inn from your Apple Account.
Deletion usually finishes within a minute.
Delete without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email support@squabbleinn.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We'll confirm the request and delete your account and data within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Delete some of your data
You can remove specific data without deleting your account. Each of these is permanent.
- A comment: open it and tap the trash icon next to its date. Its replies are deleted with it.
- A tavern chat message: tap the trash icon on your message, then Delete.
- A discussion topic or a reply: use the Delete option on your own topic or reply. Deleting a topic also deletes its replies.
- A bookmark: in the player, open Bookmarks and tap the trash icon on the bookmark.
- A book and its listening history: archive the book from your Library, then open it from the Archive and tap Delete permanently. This removes the book, your progress, and your run history from every device. See managing your books.
For anything else, such as removing your progress on one book or getting a copy of your data, email support@squabbleinn.com from the email address on your account. We'll handle it within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What account deletion removes
- Your sign-in account (email, Google, or Apple)
- Your profile: display name, avatar, and titles
- Your library, listening progress, bookmarks, and reading history
- Your comments and their reply threads, your replies on other members' posts, and your tavern chat messages
- Your guild memberships and push notification tokens
What account deletion keeps
- Guilds you own stay alive for their other members. Ownership passes to the longest-tenured remaining member. A guild where you're the only member is deleted with your account.
- Discussion topics you started stay, so your guildmates' replies aren't lost, but your name is replaced with "Deleted adventurer".
- Crash reports (device model, OS and app version, no message content) stay with our crash-reporting provider, Sentry, until they expire under its standard retention period of up to 90 days.
- Audio files are never on our servers. Books you imported stay on your device until you uninstall the app, and books on your own Audiobookshelf server are untouched.
See our Privacy Policy for the full details of what we collect.
